Do I need a patch test?
How do i prepare for my appointment?
We request that all clients having eyelash treatments arrive make up free without contact lenses. If you are attending a nail appointment for a new set, it is important to arrive with bare natural nails or make sure you have made us aware you require a removal before application so additional time can be added to your appointment. Please arrive on time for your appointment and be familiar with our late arrival policy in our terms & conditions.
Why do I have to pay a deposit?
We require a 50% deposit for all treatments over £25 to secure your appointment. This will need to be paid at your patch test/initial consulation or at the time of booking. You can pay by cash, card or BACS. All deposits are non-refundable and will only be transferred to another appointment if you have given atleast 24 hours notice of cancellation. Any appointments cancelled within the 24 hour period will result in loss of deposit. If you cannot make your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so we can fill your appointment.
How can I book an appointment?

How long will my treatment take?

Do you sell gift vouchers?
Yes! Gift vouchers are available to buy at the salon, they are the perfect gift.
Do i need to book an appointment?
Yes! We highly recommend booking an appointment prior to attending the salon. This way we can guarentee your treatment can be carried out and the patch test can be arranged prior. We do welcome walk ins for treatments that do not require a patch test and would try our best to accomodate if a beautician is available.
Academy
Why do I have to pay a deposit?
All courses require a deposit of £100 to secure your place on the course. Course deposits are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to a different date. You can pay at the salon via cash or card, or using the link provided in the confirmation email we send you.
How do I book onto a course?
You can book onto one of our courses through the website by completing the booking form linked with the specific course date and time you select under the Upcoming Courses section on the Academy page. Alternatively, you can message us on facebook, email info@cornwallhairandbeautyacademy.co.uk or call the salon on 01726 820920 to find out more about available course dates.
What do I need to bring with me on the course day?
All course information and details will be sent to you in your confirmation email after booking. If you have any queries or questions please contact us as soon as possible and we will help you.
Is there ongoing support after my training?
Yes absolutely! We add all our students that have attended our courses to our private academy Facebook group. We offer help 24/7 and pride ourselves on delivering the best during and after the course days.
Are your courses accredited and certificated?
Yes, all of our courses are fully accredited by The Guild of Beauty Therapists and it is this body who will issue your certificate upon completion of the course. You are then able to obtain the relevant insurance which will allow you to start offering the treatment to the public.
Do I need prior experience in the beauty industry?
No, most of our courses are suitable for complete beginners and are a brilliant way to kick start your career as a beautician. Please see all of our available courses on the Academy page for more information on which courses are for beginners, and what previous qualifications you will already need for the others.
Can you really learn in one day?
The simple answer is Yes! We believe that as long as you put in the practice after you have completed any of our courses, you will be well on your way to being highly successful in your new chosen career. Our trainers are highly skilled and experienced in teaching you to be perfectly competent before you leave on the day hence why we have a 100% success rate but like anything in life, 'practice makes perfect'.
What do I wear on the day of my training?
Anything! Smart but comfortable attire is most suitable for the practical day courses.
How many students are on a course?
All of our classes are of a manageable size so that our educators can ensure students are given plenty of time, attention and the opportunity to ask any questions. With class sizes of no more than 4, we can guarentee you will recieve the highest standard of training and get the most out of your day.

All purchases are final and we are unable to exchange or refund.
Patch Tests
Yes! You are required to undergo a patch test at least 24 hours before your treatment. This is to avoid any reactions to the products. Patch tests apply to any treatments requiring tints, glues, or perming solutions. If a patch test is not conducted, the treatment cannot be completed.

Aftercare
You are required to follow your therapists after care instructions to ensure maximum benefit of your treatment. You are also advised to purchase the relevant after care products to prolong your treatment. Failure to do this, may result in damage to your lashes, chipping of your nails, or pigmentation of your skin following laser treatments.

Rest assured that your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to maintaining the privacy of any personal information we collect from you. We do not share any of your personal information with any third party organisations and we abide by the principles of UK data protection legislation.
